The story teller of the Olympic Games, Bud Greenspan died on Christmas Day 25/12/2010. In a career spanning six decades, he made many documentary films about sport and in particular the Olympic Games.
In 1985, he was awarded the Olympic Order for his services to the Olympic Movement and was well regarded as a friend of the Olympic Movement. His inspiring films about the Olympics are much loved records of the feats of Olympians through the latter half of the 20th Century.
Mr Greenspan died at home in New York, aged 84.
