I volunteered for the Sydney Olympic Games . I worked at the Gabba .It held the soccer games. I felt very privileged to be part of the team of volunteeres. My daughter lives on the Gpld Coast so i will not be needing any accommodation. Any information that could be emailed to me would be very helpful as I am very kneen to help again. The more help the better the games. Thank You hear from you soon. Patricia Kelso

        Hi Patricia,

Our group is a small team if friends from the Sydney games. We are not in any way involved with the recruitment of volunteers for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. We would recommend that you contact the games organizing committee closer to 2018 as I doubt there will be a need until at least 2016 or thereabouts.

I am looking forward to being a part of another home games after being a volunteer at the Sydney Olympics, Melbourne Commonwealth games and many other great sporting moments.

my husband and I should both like to volunteer. Is there a specific organisation we should approach to register?

Sally, I’m imagining that most calls for volunteers at the 2018 Commonwealth Games wont go out until about 2017. I’m sure it will be widely publicised how individuals can express interest in volunteering at that time.

I am more than interested in volunteering for The Gold Coast Games in 2018. I was lucky enough to dance at the opening ceremony in Perth 1962 as a schoolgirl and then a volunteer in Melbourne in 2006. I would love to be part of it all again in 2018 which more than likely would be my last opportunity to be a part of it all

    Cheers Viv

      Hi Esther,

Keep a look out on the official Gold Coast 2018 website for the volunteering opportunities and the official call up which I expect would not occur until 2017.

      Thank you for your interest.
