Sport Matters – Spring Sail 2013

Sport Matters invites you to join the inaugural ‘Sydney Spring Sail’ on Sunday 22 September 2013.

The Sydney Spring Sail coincides with Sport Matters birthday and we would love for you to join us for a spectacular two-hour cruise on Sydney Harbour on board the Southern Swan, an authentic 1920’s Tall Ship.

Departing from Campbell’s Cove in The Rocks we shall set sail for a glorious experience! The Sydney Spring Sail will cruise past all the iconic landmarks including Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, Fort Denison, Garden Island, Luna Park and Admiralty House.

The proceeds of this event will support Sport Matters work using sport to empower individuals and unite communities in Australia, the Pacific, Asia and Africa.

When: Sunday 22 September
Time: 11am – 1pm
Cost: $120 per adult

Tickets include a two-hour sailing experience on an authentic Tall Ship, a delicious and substantial finger food meal and drinks.

Be at Campbell’s Cove wharf at the Rocks by 10.45am to make sure you don’t ‘miss the boat’!

It’s Tokyo 2020

At the end of a two-year campaign, the name in the envelope was ‘Tokyo’.

It was decided after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) members voted during their 125th session in Buenos Aires Saturday.
